The Great Gardening Book Giveaway - Week 1

Related Posts with Thumbnails

My bookshelf is groaning with gardening books and a) I don’t have time to read them all and b) there’s no space for new ones and so I am having a clear out. It has been suggested that you, my dear readers, might like to have them and so I am giving away one book a week until the pile is gone – which by my calculations will be the beginning of December. By which time my book may well be available in the US and if it is then I will run a giveaway for it as well.

Just so we’re clear – all of the books I am giving away currently belong to me, so they’re all ‘pre-owned’, but I look after my books so they’re all in decent condition. And I’m only going to mail these books out within the UK, otherwise the postal costs will be prohibitive. Sorry if you’re based elsewhere, but when I give my book away that one will be international. In the meantime, I’m cutting down on the book miles!

I’m going to start small – the first book to give away is The Little Book of Compost by Allan Shepherd of CAT. Follow that link to read my review.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply email me the answer to the following question:

How does Emma Townshend describe me in her mini review of my book? (Hint: you will find the answer here and have you nipped over to look at the entries in her Emsworth Online Village Show yet?)

Entries need to be in my inbox by midnight on Wednesday 26th August to be in with a chance of winning. Pete will pick the winner’s name out of the hat, and his decision is final. If you have any questions then just leave me a comment or send me an email. Once again, the competition is open to UK residents only. Thank you!
