Sleep bag

Ever since I watched the first episode of Grow Your Own Drugs I’ve had plans to make my own sleep pillow. Unfortunately I don’t have hops growing in the garden (if you want to know about hops, ask Miss Fuggles) and it’s entirely the wrong time of year to harvest lavender. This year I will do so at the right time and store some, but in the meantime I ordered my herbs from Neal’s Yard. You could also use the Herefordshire hop bines that Wiggly Wigglers stock.

This morning I got my new sewing machine out (for the third time!) and made up the pillow, using a piece of old pillow case for the bag itself and a nice soft segment of old curtain for the outer cover. Whether it helps or not remains to be seen!
