Update: overwintering peppers

Back at the beginning of October, my late sown pepper seeds germinated. The idea was that, as small plants, they would find it easier to cope with the low light levels in winter that often cause adult pepper plants to lose their leaves.

A month ago I transplanted them and split them into two groups.

The group left in the Grow Dome are alive and well (that’s my lemon seedlings in the bottom right of the photo.

But the second group, who live on a south-facing windowsill, are doing better. I assume this is because their environment is generally warmer, even though they are on the wrong side of the curtains at night.
